I have dual 24 in 1080P monitors and I'm not very happy with them. My old monitors we're 1200 tall and I didnt think it would make much difference. But it's different enough to make all the apps feel crowded.
Spend 1100-1200 with a strong CPU and enough ram plus a GPU good for the next 2 years, then spend the remaining 300-400 on a new GPU once the next-gen consoles have landed and given the PC market a bit of a push.
Good feedback there DWalker, I like the idea of going over the top with the gear. Regarding the hair, I'll see what I can do but this going to eventually be a 4000 tri mesh, so I can't go crazy with that sort of thing.
I used to have a huge-ass postcount myself on the old board, like 4700 or so But i never cared about it either, modeling/skinning skills are more vital than it, when's the last time sundance reviewed/skinned anyhow
Ya mean im travelling 4000 miles in the hope of meeting some counters and fellow 3d nerds and noone is going?....oh what surrounded by fanboys and Frankie all week, ill just go cry in my beer now. John
Hola! I'm making a new lowpoly character, starting with the head. My target budget is 2400 tris. I finished modelling the face/neck and unwrapped it. Next up is her hair. Looking for critiques!
This thread will show my process from start to finish with this character(the Tick). The requirements for this build is 1200 tris and a texture sheet no larger than 512 X 512 .... ALL feedback is welcome :)
Hi! I just finished this a couple of days ago. I got alot of inspiration from Marvels warwolf creature. The polycount is 4100 tris and it has 3 1024*1024 textures, color, normal and specular. cheers
