No just using the Liveboolean tool from zbrush to get the mechanical parts fitting, the base model of it was made in 3DS Max. Lol and it would be a pretty cool mod for Fallout 4.
Overcame my issues and finished this model! Thanks for all your help, check it out at: http://polycount.com/discussion/182394/t-51b-helmet-fallout/p1?new=1
Looks good! 2nd shot reminds me of the old iso Fallout games. If you're putting it in your portfolio be sure to show a wireframe or triangle count as well as some mapping.
As far as I'm aware Skyrim isn't being done by an indie company. I've never heard anything like that. Are you sure you're not thinking about Fallout: New Vegas?
I picked up a few of the newer indie games I'd not nabbed yet, and one or two bigger titles that I'd overlooked over the years (finally gonna play Fallout 3!)
I just picked it up this weekend as well. It's nagging me to play (I played the stellar demo) but I'm trying to finish Fallout: New Vegas before digging into another game.
I'm excited to see how you handle those grates and transparent tiles above them! It reminds me of the Fallout 3: Operation Anchorage DLC bunker. very cool design.
It looks pretty good to me. You have pretty good stuff but those Fallout 4 models and the Eye of The Giant video were what stood out to me. Best of luck!
