Hi Polycount community👋 I’m Leo YuanLi, an aspring 3D environment artist. I’ve spent the 1 year building the portfolio. I’d love your feedback on how to push it further, as well as the overall strengths and weaknesses, for personal growth, freelance work, or indie & AA studio roles. Portfolio…
@okidoki Thanks! Really appreciate your concise explanations and feedback. It's always nice to see the community work together like this. @stray There's definitely some ambiguous shape transitions that are a challenge. Really like how you interpreted those iffy spots on the concept and translated it into an asymmetric…
Is this really unlit, though? Might be a communication problem. Even if he used an unlit shader as a base that he then modified, the scenes are clearly lit and shadowed and at least some don't seem to be using lightmaps, either.
I don't think you'll see any of that change Vig. Pretty sure the blender community is larger than any other user base, and well, there is a certain stigma to 'free' that will never go away. I really don't get it though. For all the anti-blender talk I see regarding the app and its community, there's just as much ignorance…

With the announcement of Rising Storm, the totalconversion for Red Orchestra: Heroes of Stalingrad, Tripwire Interactive is offering an opportunity to do just that. They will be involved in a “first-of-its-kind collaboration” with the Red Orchestra modding…
TLDR; tell me what makes you happy, tighter? more polys? less polys? brawl more? or bra-wl less? Interaction & responses? whoa, really didn't expect this but yeah at least on my end i am hype. (for now.) @pxgeek : Yeah me to, wanted to get it out of the way though & see what happens if we did something spontaneous and see…

Let me start by trying to explain our intent. UT has always been a game driven by the community. Most of the best content has come from guys working hard on their own…
Even if it was, I'd be a little more optimistic about it here than on Reddit mainly because of the differences in communities. Reddits voting system seems to work well in small subreddits where a lot of people know what they're talking about (the badpire comes to mind), it also works pretty well on places like…
haha yeah im still playing with naming. Hard round is the name of an art community I run on discord, but it's also... it's just a good name. Heavy paint is cool! Totally different goals though. Heavy paint is actually a mesh painting program under the hood, not raster. It really focuses on expressive brush strokes and…
