Hi , I'm a fan of your work and I also follow your posts in gamasutra, I'm starting my career in a studio (despite my age 28 = P) and I really like the style of your textures, you have some tutorial or study recommendation To create these textures?
One thing about 4k monitors is that they're right now unpractical under 32". Their pixel concentration is waay to high for most software that doesn't support dpi scaling for ui. You'll end up with tiny menus at a 27"/28" 4k monitor. dunno maybe this is just me.
Yep, what app? What does your cage look like if you're using one? Try turning down the ray projection distance if you're not using a cage. Also... it never hurts to check the wiki... http://wiki.polycount.com/NormalMap?highlight=%28\bCategoryTexturing\b%29#Solving_Wavy_Lines
[ QUOTE ] if you haven't seen it already, check it out - the final two eps of season two of the Venture Brothers has this guy in it and they are amazing! [/ QUOTE ] found it :-D http://youtube.com/watch?v=4WKrpSvb27E he appears at 00:28, the one on the ground. Just clipped in there, not the actual episode.
I think its because its 2 perfect numbers 496 and 28. As for the next one, thats an Australian one, Kevin 07 was his slogan, so 07 he came first, so 1 and there have been 25 PM's before him. So its 07125.
There is a foliage tutorial by 3D Motive that is for UDK, but the principles will be identical to what you would need in Unity. https://www.3dmotive.com/f102101 Also check out some of the stuff on the wiki here. http://wiki.polycount.com/CategoryEnvironmentFoliage…
Only the low res needs to be unwrapped. That unwrap gets normal data from the high poly based on the low poly normals. If i had to put it briefly. http://wiki.polycount.com/NormalMap?highlight=%28%5CbCategoryBumpMap%5Cb%29 everything you need to know is here also.
I don't think Rebellion want's to sue, but trademark laws are terrible. If you don't actively defend your trademark you can lose it. Source: http://www.forbes.com/sites/oliverherzfeld/2013/02/28/failure-to-enforce-trademarks-if-you-snooze-do-you-lose/

I'm 28 and I played Quake 2 for a total of 7 years, with plenty of Q1 mixed in. To this day when people say they know the program 'Quark' I still think they're talking about Quake Army Knife (QuArK.) Quakeworld ruled my life, loved the impact rune :)
