[ QUOTE ] Personally I would really like to keep this is in 1st an open and 2nd an "generic" modeling forum like polycount to ensure "outside" traffic. [/ QUOTE ] Well like I said, the forum will be open in 2 weeks or so. As far as traffic, its completely open to 'outside' traffic and we usually have around 800+ people…
yeah, my plan is to hit school from 8-12, maybe pick up one of the open labs, figure drawing classes that are free during the week as well and treat it like a job until 5 or 6 PM every day and not get into the habit of lounging as I need to actually show some accomplishments to let her know I'm actually getting things…
Oh right. For both I used the same 4k normal map in NDO. Just a single map. I got some more ram installed on my work station up to 32gb now but that hasn't solved anything. Specifically when I'm changing the values in a layer via the ndo interface will it take drastically longer. For example changing the curve to a…
photoshop is probably messing with the colors and assigning a profile that marmoset is picking up. they keep changing where the options are in photoshop and i've not even opened it for a couple of years so you'll have to refer to the documentation but you need to set it up so that it's not applying stupid color profiles to…
I really like the modeling and where this is going. The main thing that jumps out at me is it's hard to 'read' the scene at times. A few of those shots have so much going on that it's hard for the eye to come to rest anywhere or be lead through the shot. I think some more open areas would go a long way to help the scene.…
Looks like your character doesn't have an openable mouth, it looks watertight. It's a good habit to have an openable mouth with a mouthbag where you can place gums/teeth and a tongue, for that even further "excellence" as you're trying to achieve. Also, if you sculpt the mouth just slightly open, you'll get cleaner bakes…
Well, I would say that the (somewhat inelegant) categorization is really just a summary of an applicant's skills, and there is nothing wrong with various people being at different points in their art career. But there's also nothing wrong with a job opening having some kind of skills expectations. Just because a job is…
Had this problem for years. Solution: All within UV Editor. 1. Select UV set that is the problem. 2. Run Modify / Layout or adjust uv's however you do it. 3. With problem UV Set selected go to UV Sets / Copy UVs To UV Set. 4. Open UV Sets / UV Set Editor (you now have a copy of the problem UV Set). 5. Delete the original…
I know this isn't the typical artwork people post here, but I'm really bad at logos and appreciate any opinions. The logo here on the steam page preview is my top candidate so far: and here is the pool I've created so far: I think the lower ones with map look clean and professional, but too technical and boring. I like the…
Hi, I'm looking for a way to overwrite a specific file on my filesystem, saving as a copy when necessary even if the file is open and the active document - but without any user intervention. This is something that used to be easy but no longer seems possible with an action (something they changed in newer versions of CC?).…
