meh, a lot of people think that Verm. Then when you've lived here for a while you realise that it's overpoulated, traffic blows and you cant buy a house. I've enjoyed my time in the bay area, but I couldn't see myself realistically settling here.
Ahh, I see. Well I am far from an established artist, but I would try to work on realistic anatomy studies first. What I ment by "bigger shapes" is for example the silhouette of the head, which is very far from anatomical correct.
hey not too bad there. I think to make it look more realistic you could smooth out some of the wrinkles on his nose... I wouldn't have thought he would have horizontal wrinkles all up his nose like that. Arco
Beautiful work! I especially like that she is slightly masculine, it's more realistic than having Barbie dressed in fatigues ;) My only crit would be the lack of muscle tone... she's a Female Marine for Gods sake, give the girl some definition and curvature! >^..^<
This is my progress so far. Not 100% happy. I'm just focusing on the texture. I will create a cloud layer as a separate substance that can be applied on top with movement inside of UE4. This is my inspiration for the planet textures. I want them to look realistic.
Thanks. Yeah, wanted to know if I'm on the right track. I know they're stylistic which is what I want, but would texturing them help them look better in quality? Let's say if I wanted to give them realistic skin texture. Would that work?
I throw my hat into the challenge as well Going to do the StormCaller I am going to shoot for a stylized form with realistic materials I aim for about 120,000 tris as a maximum limit 3 weeks is my estimation for modeling texture and rigging
I was playing with this type of shading in UE4, have had a break as recent projects have required more realistic rendering but I hope to go back to it soon. You can find a load of collected studies/experiments here https://bit.ly/2kFftKs
I love how It seems comic that the creature still cares to cover its privates. I also like the transition of the mouth from the skull to the chest. On the other hand, the monster doesn't seem to be realistically able maintain a balanced stance with the current proportions.
I scaled the eyes down a bit and did some other things. Currently trying to paint it all in realistically just to see if I can. I'm using photographs as a guide. http://arkavision.com/share/Felicia-Mason-concept-5-3.jpg
