so i'm doing some environmental modeling, and decided to do a shinto style shrine (hakurei shrine, anyone?). Naturally, one of the biggest features of japanese architechture is the gorgeous sloping roofs, with overlapping clay tiles. After many trials and errors involving various methods like extraction + extrusions,…
I thought this issue was caused by me decimating too heavily, but it seems even after redoing the high poly & decimating less the issue remained. I am getting black triangles on certain random faces on the high poly (i fixed it in some areas by manually merging these) and also this long artifact. My mesh doesn't have a UV…
If I understand what you are asking, in max, they aren't perfectly spaced to meet the shape. The distances of the new edge loops from the edges they are supposed to be supporting are not the same because the edge spans that are to be connected through are different lengths. I exaggerated the shape a little so you can see…
I once tried using Photoshop's 3D capabilities to texture a low-poly model, but I was having a lot of issues with a seam. >: ( I mostly want to be able to paint DIRECTLY onto the model, and I know ZBrush tends to "smooth" the mesh, or display it oddly. (I prefer seeing a low-poly model like you would see in Maya or Max,…
thanks for your comments, guys. fixed promo image, i tryed to draw attention on that skull by crazy fow and that bad camera position, but that was bad idea. @vlad i tried to change sizes of circle and blade and this variant looks good balanced to me.
I'd also recommend Blender. I'd suggest you to go on Blender artist. com and seek for help there for anything regarding the software. Thogugh, If you had more pictures of that chair, I'm pretty sure you would be able to directly render it in 3D
Yes, the starving artist economic plan, brilliant! I love how 90% of your posts begin with "You dont understand, I think you're mistaken, etc". Well, i'm going to bow out for now, as this is just a waste of my time.
Well here it is. My sculpt of Frazetta's Death Dealer at NY Comic Con. I certainly had a sense of fulfillment seeing it completed. But simultaneously I'm glad to be putting in my rear view mirror. Projects like this are really exhausting and nerve wracking.
Wear pants. Or at least a cod piece. Like everyone said, just relax. Usually it's email, then Skype, then if you pass that, you fly out. Although my last one was strange, it was email, email, Skype, Skype, contract then I started working.
