For this concept, I analysed the beautiful style of Adolf Lachman on his work on the Mechobots and Machinarium. After a couple of studies I felt that photoshop on top of watercolor and pencil gave me the best results. It was a great journey!
engineer? i use a wacom, a digital pencil, it's the same as using a staedtler one. Different canvas, same purpose. I must think this is more related with the ability to draw on a peper versus 3d modelling :P
The beige brick wall looks a bit more cartoonish for the blizzard style I think, they looks like there is a pencil stroke around every brick which I don't recall seeing in something like WoW.
Miezis - Thank you! I can feel the improvement coming slowly! Must. Push. Forward. Just a sketch dump here. Trying to hit the pencils every day now. Pretty random. Mrs. Robocop?
the composition is a bit bland. Try working in more shapes and forms to attract the attention more throughout. maybe try and just draw with pencil rather than charcoal? get used to drawing in perspective and getting detail.
Took a sketchpad and some pencils to a show 'couple blocks from my place. Got some descent stuff outta the deal Kill Matilda. Great band, tons of energy!
Hello! I'm looking into strengthening my 2D skills, please provide some feedback! Thanks! Below is an image of a character concept 'Malevolent' I plan on using in future illustrations. Pencil and paper, scanned and tossed around in Photoshop. Estimated - 6 Hours.
