Going off your description, a lot of times you will want metal in UE3 to have a specular intensity over 1.0, so I would try plugging your spec map and a scalar parameter into a Multiply that plugs into the spec output. Depending on how bright your texture is, try values around 1.5-3.0 And don't put your spec power up to…
1. it really depends on which culture we're talking about, for example i despise viking culture(which is probably the mainstream one) so i don't consume anything related to that, on the other side there's the chinese one more mythologic side and the other more fantasy(wuxia) i'm really like what i'm seeing, it's very…
Hello, I just discovered MightyBake and i've to admit is CRAZY fast compared to everything else I used. I'm honestly laughing at the monitor while the buckets are rendered! I'm still struggling with some parts of the workflow and I've few questions: 1) When I export high, using the mightybake shelf in maya, timewise is as…
Hello, I'm having a horrible issue with Maya LT which I paid for :( Basically I will be working on something and all of the sudden it freezes... My CPU usage for Maya LT goes to 0% and I have to end process to get it to close. This is super annoying since I pay their fee and the software doesn't even work properly. It…
Played for 8 hours today, with friends, randoms, and alone, only got 100 credits to unlock stuff when most stuff is 1000. There's no way I'm going to keep playing if I have to play 80 hours to unlock 1 gun.
Thanks. Np. I guess depending on how you mix together your normal maps you might choose different approaches. Either multiply for a more pronounced/darker effect or like a manual lerp I guess to retain 1.0(100%) weighting.
Yeah, what Vailias said. You'll need something like Sine, Cosine (even Frac, depending on what you're going for). Otherwise after a short while you're multiplying by 100, 200, 1000, etc, instead of the desired 0-1 (or -1 to 1).
Sorry maybe I should have expanded on what I'm trying to achieve. I'm baking over 500 models which have been generated by another program. The models are simple boxes of different dimensions and ratios. Each model has a multisub material with 6 materials which need changing to 100% self illumination for baking. I also need…
YES! Saw this earlier. Absolutely gorgeous. Make sure to watch that video in 1080/60fps. This is one of those series I've never played, but have always wanted to. Seeing this gameplay preview, I am 100% sure I will be buying it and playing the series for the first time.
I've not done any art with it but I did have to build a little plugin last year to handle some naming issues on an older painter version. from what I remember you get a texture set per tile and you can paint across tile boundaries - i forget whether it's possible to assign a different shader to each texture set. on more…
