Our sci-fi isn't "Doomed", as much as it's "Aliened" The Aliens franchise was a defining visual landmark in my opinion. Both the hard human tech and the organic aliens have left a permanent imprint on sci-fi to the point that 30 years later you can still see the same formula in slightly altered form. -

hey nice work! i dont post often but id just like to congratulate you on your nice work :thumbup:. looks very bioshock to me, which is a good thing for sure. it'd be great to do a nice skybox/ background work to be seen out the windows. ill definately be fallowing your progress :) -

ok waanted to illustrate more what i mean (hate leaving people hanging with criptic crits anyway i did a very quick paintover of the torso hope it helps....!? this could obviously taken furthar by defining the muscles more and creating better ighting as mop said but its start Jody before after -

SupRore I agree, they could have put in one human to escort of something. But they did put in cutscenes that vary depending on which exit of the mall you go out of. That was something they definately didn't have to do. Compared to the Saint's Row demo the loading times are long. I hope the full game is a bit quicker. -

yes I actually lost my first scene with all the models including the cement psd all those pieces are going to be reunwrapped and the texture will be redone :) This is in UDK just a printscreen though not a tiled shot I will save that for when it is done. Thank you I am definately going for a Naughty Dog style piece. -

The floor is clear to me; Moss covered rock, blended into the ground with some water next to it. However the water is very poor, classic "Blue" water. make it more fancy, edge fading, reflections, sparkle that kind of thing. The ground is poor in contrast to the door because it lacks defination and all seems to blend into… -
Re: Grid vs Non Grid (Modular Building)
I think sticking to the grid is a must when building modular stuff. You really want to keep to the grid on for the larger parts that define the structure and then you can disable the grid for the smaller items like windows etc. Keeping to the grid will enable easy snapping of the modular parts and save time messing about… -

Yawn. Didnt like it the first time. Didn't even get very far into his review before turning it off. Definately not going back for seconds. If I want someone's alcohol fueled ramblings on games old or new, I'll go to IRC. It takes less bandwidth and doesn't require a codec. Thanks... but no thanks. -

Oh yeah, use cage should definately NOT be checked by default, because its something you have to do extra work to even use. Which means its really bad to have it as default behaivor. Really all its doing is making sure its broke whenever a new user trys to use it! =)
