Hey guys, I'm asking for a friends account. Does anyone know of any good texture packs? Preferably with diffuse/normals/spec. Both commercial and free is of interest. This is going to be used for a sci-fi 3rd person game project. Thank you!

I don't really see why a pop can should need a normal map. What did you make it in? personally I think it would probably look just fine with a nice spec map.
nice detail on the metal texture, did you sue any bump map on the tank, or just specular? the fence also looks nice, I'd like to see it with the spec fixed though, should look awesome :)
Another update for this evening, tinkered with the colour, spec and gloss maps properly. Got a little bit more to do with this just seeing what works and what doesn't. Then onto finishing the hammer off and posing/rendering
It isn't really much different to what came before... and pretty much everybody has standardised input texture types for PBR shading anyway (albedo/ RGB spec colour/ roughness / normals / metallic mask)
I think it will only clutter the forum even more, and I also question how useful would it actually be? Especially if people only post stuff like: "fart" "lol, I hate spec maps" ...
About the 20 assets daily quota, would that be per single asset (albedo, ao, normals, gloss, spec, etc...)? Or per full asset, i.e. a set of textures for a muddy terrain counts as 1 asset?
no im not, i dont see the point in doing so for a mechanical object. is there any benefit ? ive started texturing, almost finished defuse just got a few small details to finish off then on to the spec map
This looks really cool although I think you should make another pass on your specular maps. Right now everything on your spec maps have nearly the same specularity regardless of the material.
