I've seen no problem with the AMDs and SP2. Max5,6,7 and SP2 don't get along when it comes to the Render To Texture function. I'd check for an updated driver from logitech to fix the mouse problem. I've never seen that problem before, and we get three or four machines a day in for clean installs.
Actually forget what I said, I'm gonna stick with modelling and uv mapping for a bit. Thanks for any help. I dont suppose anyone wants the model? As long as its adequate, even gimp appears bloated a hundred different functions with some you might probably need, never!
Greebles, "greebles and nurnies" are details added for visual interest. See all the bumps on the top surface that keep it from being smooth, and all the stuff on the sides that aren't functional pieces like the turrets? Greebles. So adding things like some piping and vents and plating and stuff would be "adding greebles"
If I try to solve it like that it kind of works on the landscape??? but it is BROKEN and gives nasty artifacts on other planes! I am trying to make Light function and use with the Sun. Noise is perfect because it animates, but the shadow look too blobby if I use it right away. So I want them to stretched out.
Anyone knows a functioning way to bake AO onto the vertex colors of an object within 3dsmax? All the old ways either don't work, or are incredibly buggy on Max2016. Tried a few scripts too, none of them work. Can't believe I'm scratching my head with something that should be so simple?

Hey. Maybe someone will write the script and switch modes pivot in Origin-Center-Base at the touch of a button on a cycle. This is the most frequently used operation modes. So I'm unwrapping a low poly sword for texture practice and I have part of the sword selected and i want to lay it on top of the other identical piece perfectly so when i texture one it textures both. what functions do i use to do this?
