Heres a new updated render, not the best, but better than the one i had before I dont think i need a wireframe for a hp model, the only rule for hps seems to be "make it look good", wireframes are shown with the low poly models
Try turning off Nitrus viewports. If you already did make sure anti alias for wireframe view isn't enabled in the viewport configure driver dialog. For me, wireframe views have always been slower than smooth shaded views.
Another thing if I may. I know you've only been modeling for a short period, but maybe instead of rendering a wireframe, just take a screengrab of your model with wireframe on shaded. Would help us see your edges a little better.
Ged Have you checked by viewing your model in wireframe in the web browser? The most frequent problems are with scaling the model and textures. By switching to wireframe (and maybe zooming out) you can often see what needs to be done. Vrav - Thanks for the compliments.
Thanks again DWalker! I did look for a canister blueprint but had no luck. Final tri count is 12k. this is how the vehicle is going to stay for now while i get my write up and other work done UDK Renders Marmoset Renders Wireframe Wireframe 3DSMax Skylight
Agreed. All that shot really shows is the wireframe anyway. Do what fatty says to show of wireframe of model. To show of uv mapping better to just put a checker board on there, that's shows you the amount of stretching you'll have so a much better indicator of how well done the unwrap is.
Very good read. Thank you for reposting that thread. Just a question. How much are wireframe shots worth in a folio I read something you said saying its often not needed, but should one wireframe of one of your better models be included?
That's right, I forgot to change the background and do the wireframe instead. As for the avatar, my usual reaper head guy is too big, so I just put this one on here until I am able to create a suitable replacement. And now, wireframe! -Dread_Reaper
the screenshot i enjoyed the most, was the wireframe, because the silouhette is awesome. but the wireframe is actually LESS noisy, and is easier to read, than the textures. the textures are really bad (in my opinion) man... they totally kill the piece for me. the tattoo's are all over the place, and just too difficult to…
Ah, very nice looking results for maya software. I'll have to fiddle with the lighting settings and see if I can get comparable results. I'll look into the vector wireframe rendering, thanks! EDIT - If you could post the settings you used for the wireframe rendering I'd very much appreciate it.
