I played with your file, and came up with this, using wire parameters and a look at constraint. Click play in the max file or scrub the bar to see it in action (or look at the example avi). I'm pretty sure that's how you intended it to work? http://www.vigville.com/forum_images/example01.zip (<-3dsmax 2009 file)…
Hey. 'I also think you should go for a little bit of deeper green in this one. It's close to a river, it's a jungle, it should be lush and green.' did you mean deeper greens overall? Like change all meshes?
the stickers also shouldn't be the same color in spec as in the diffuse, this will create a strange sort of glow in the dark look. green in spec means the reflection is actually green, i'm not sure what sort of paper the stickers are printed on that would reflect green =)
Thanks @littleclaude! The detailed feedback is sincerely appreciated. Taking it piecemeal, some of your feedback hits right on areas I had planned out + gives me a lot of stellar ideas and I wanted to call them out & show where my mind is at: * "lived-in" details: I have a sitting area where the victim spent most his time…
I may be a bit of a pedant here, but that coat of arms violates the rule of tincture; metal should not be put on metal, nor colour on colour. Red (gules) on a green (vert) background isn't allowed, and green on a green background obviously isn't either.
There is also problem with RossC normal map, that green channel should be flipped. Valve promotional textures has green oriented up, however normal texture for ingame should have green down oriented. Correct me if I am wrong.
Thanks guys. That roof is know as "green roof". It's an old concept, very used in old europeans houses that now it's turning into a fashion, because of the "green fever". I'm not going to model though, it's just an illustration for a magazine, talking about green houses.
I love it as a whole. Great work and nice concept. Totally love it. BTW, i wish you could change the saliva/tongue color into green. Because green resembles zaun and its nice to retcon mundo with a green color in his body.
i hope people know what i'm talking about when i type this, or i'm gonna look like a right twat. it relates to Elhrrah's post. i had quite a few decks, i had decks which i would use often, my "favorites". i had decks which i didn't use much, or were "unrefined". my two favorite decks revolved around this setup: green/white…
The idea here is a factory/Refinery that pumps around green slim/sludge. I know in UT the green matter probably has a backstory and such but its based off of the green stuff in UT3's version of Deck. My idea for the layout of the map is square and symmetrical. In my first work I did a portion that would be exposed to the…
