The colors all look overstaturated to me. I'd try a light desaturated pink and grey for the skin tone, and dark red hair, and brown leather/wood, and silver of course for the metal. Anyway, its a cool concept man, I'm looking forward to seeing how yours turns out.
thanks, ive made a lot of edits to the proportions... but im having real trouble texturing the armour, im going for a real shiney silver look, but i just cant get it, im very new to texturing, so if anyone has a small tutorial laying around that would be awsome...
hmm well i am in no position to tell a critcs but i feel like the golden belt and the silver belt need more depth and needs to have its own detail rather than following the body shape and i like ur concept B...its looking gud keep up the gud wrk
Ah I see good question- if they are separate pieces we'd they'd be uploaded separately. If the pieces are interlocking- (IE like a chain) you can have up to 6 parts in bronze, brass and silver https://www.shapeways.com/presscorner/press-release/2016-08-25-shapeways-launches-interlocking-metals-for-3d-printing
This is nothing new. Almost every game I have owned on the PC has handed me over complete access to the game data and assets on a silver platter. Even if they didn't, they were easy enough to rip out. This is just a '3D screenshot'. In either case, the law doesn't protect your work any less.
Made me smile and think of the Observatory in my favourite Zelda game :Dhttp://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20101108215820/zelda/images/thumb/0/03/Astral_Observatory.png/830px-Astral_Observatory.png As for texturing, gold or silver rims with maybe white base or grey. I'd have to see the environment around it to…
Hey, thanks for the feedback silver. I did redesign it a bit in terms of the shape and armour. I worked from a few reference images but changed some things. I still need to texture this model and the render I took was on a pretty basic set up so that is something I will work on.
Hehe this makes me reminisce of the silver age of polycount.. Looks like its a much higher polycount version of the one we saw, or is it the same one? Cheapalert -> Gargoyles KDR_11k -> anime girls BobotheSeal -> Characters with big bellies Irritant -> Martians Hawken -> 2D asian babes Wrath -> Harlequin
Notman.. it's got an A-904 Torqueflite transmission. We had it media blasted, had the casting seams smoothed off, and then had it painted silver and cleated coated. The cast aluminum casing sucked up any oils and grime around it, so we did this so it's always clean and easily cleanable.
Thanks for the tips jackablade. I've put some gold back into her. Yeah I'll definitely put in some high silver around the wrists for the final concept. update - probably move onto final concept now. More detail/defined textures/materials. Also fix up the wrists/hands/feet areas too.
