TURTLE - Artefacts when I'm baking Occlusion Map, High to Low
Hi! Help me please. When I'm baking Occ map from high to low, then get artefacts. Turtle setup default settings except for the quality of. - Maya/Turtle 2013 (x64), Win 7 (x64). NVidia GTX 450. Intel Core i7. What could it be? -

Here's some suspicious looking random creature i made today just to test some SSS shader with all kinds of maps. Rendered with mentalray. I used mesh with around 45k polys for the render + normal map. I couldnt bother remeshing to get lighter base mesh. -

well if anyone interested i'm asking 400 + the 50 for license transfer, so that's 450 total, that's like 150 off so seems like a decent deal, i'm gonna shoot an email out around work an see if anyone there is interested if not i'll come back here and/or try that luxo site -

I would say: Define cheap. Cheap I would think would be sub $100, and you're probably looking at an ATI card then. Best "value" gpus: http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/gpu_value.html ATI 6750 at $90 ATI 5670 at $70 GTS 450 at $110 All decent cards that support dx11. -

Anything by H.P. Lovecraft is amazing. The "divine comedy" ain't bad either. Fahrenheit 451 is great too. the whole "Sabriel" series by Garth Nix is great too. Lovecraft is my favorite though, and most of his stories deal with isolation (mental or physical, depending on how he felt, I guess) -
Hardware for Unreal, and substance painter??
Hello there! At work we have the following computer CPU.I7 3.2 ghz Ram :8gb Graphic card: Geforce 450 I wonder what kind of hardware do you recomend to run Unreal and substance painter? Im thinking a a hardware that you can work with 4 k textures in substance painter. -

It's a distance from the outside edge. In the gif the 4.4 is in scene units - Which I have set to mm. You'll sometimes get weird results but it works well enough that it is the first thing I'll try when I want to put edgeloops on a uneven edge or a complex shape. -

Great work! I too have seen your site to get a glance at more of your stuff, and you have some awsometastic works that I like a lot. But... for your sketchbook, creatures and other, thumbnails lead me to 404 not found, can you please fix that? -
