Rendered another Xenon ship today. It is called "Xenon S" and is used to harvest ressources. For that it shoots a laser at asteroids. The resulting debree is collected with small drones launched from the belly of the ship. The drone and wireframes can be seen on Artstation. https://www.artstation.com/artwork/V4Q68…
Name all your images. Don't use Screenshot 01, Screenshot 02. ... Name them 'Colt Wireframe 01' or 'Mustang 2005 Clay 01' You can also put your name in the image file. Like 'Kudrnac - Colt Wire 01.jpg' Slap your name and email/website on each image. Pick a corner. And get yourself on to every single one of those images.…
I agree with them...You have to much stuff. And some of them are not the same quality than others. In 2D it is critical. Remove some of them, leave like 5 or 10, maybe 15 of your best work. Also I miss some textures. You show wireframe, final model, but no textures. And like achillesian said, that orc fort and those guys…
Currently I'm only making minor tweaks to the texture here and there. The plan is when TB2 is released in a week I'll post up my final images, perhaps some tb1/tb2 comparisons and all the technical stuff (wireframes etc) and some close ups of certain spots, as it is hard to show off the detail in some areas. I might even…
Hey what´s up! You should upload or embed the pics directly on polycount. Also if you want critiques on topology you might want to provide wireframe shots as well! From what I can see the eyes are too big. It´s a common mistake that people are tempted to do, myself included. As an average guidline you should be able to fit…
Thanks for the kind comments. I'm new to posting stuff here on Polycount, and not exactly filled with confidence... so the positive reinforcement is very much appreciated! :D marq4porsche: Yeah, I know what you mean with the shadows. I was pretty pressured for time doing these, so I didn't have time to fix everything that…
Update 001: Wireframe and Poly/Tri count This is my first time box modeling with an image, so any critiques or tips would be invaluable. Progressing fairly well at this point, I'm not getting lost in Maya's UI :poly124: Comments and Critiques appreciated and very much needed. Edit: How can I get that sword like rounded…
Alrighty! Had some more time between a couple of really long work days and managed to finish my low poly mesh, bakes, and some simple textures (texturing is something I need to learn and practice more). The low poly came in at just under 300 triangles. You can see in the wireframe where I have a few more than needed,…
first off fix them eyes. the shape is entirely wrong and its too flat. remember that the eyelids WRAP around the eyeball, right now, im not seeing that. also theres a lack of eye depth. your eyes are on a region that is modeled too flat. when i look at the side view, i should be able to see the profile of the eye ball, in…
Wireframe please? One way to handle stuff like this is to make the straps a part of the underlying surface, make them contiguous where the strap meets the skin (or shirt). Then you only have to deal with the regular stretching issues you always get with shoulders. No splitting or clipping. Also, it's better to embed art…
