Here's a sculpt I did in Zbrush in about 4 hours for a digital sculpting calss I'm taking, this is my first time using a lot of the new functions in Zbrush 4R3, primarily DynaMesh. I started with a sphere and used primarily the move brush, the standard brush, and a variety of the "curve" brushes.
The premium servers are the ones with gold test in the server list...right? Played some more survival. I wish it had a save function. I lasted 13 days (about 2hrs play) then just attacked the hordes to kill myself. Was a shame as I had created some awesome defences.
Have you tried manually setting Photoshop to only use your graphics card and not integrated. It worked for me when I was getting issues a while back. Follow the top answer in this thread My copy of Photoshop turns this function off on a regular basis and I don't know why.
oh came up with a problem using the switcher plugin.. In max you are usually able to shift+drag an edge to extrude it. a tool I really like and missed when i used maya. But with the stitcher plugin this function no longer works. is there a way to assign this to another key? whats the name of the tool?
Or...Bring a tripod, and bracket your exposures from what the lightmeter reads +/- 1 or 2 stops and then HDR that stuff. (translation: Take a few shots of each scene at multiple exposures (too bright, too dark, just right, etc) and combine them in photoshop using the "merge to hdr" function.
If you want to continue to use Maya's duplicate special function for mirroring, then you can just use Normals -> Reverse when you're ready to export to avoid it flipping inside out. You can also check this ahead of time by using Shading -> backface culling inside of your viewport.
There is sometimes an issue with peeling/pelting etc. where the uvs get large offsets in the W channel - that can mess with any functions that take uv face area as a parameter. If you're getting weird behaviour, switch to uw (not a typo) view and make sure everything is zeroed in w before panicking
I can't believe this isn't natively supported in Maya, not to mention the lack of results when I tried searching for a script that did this loop/ring grow/shrink function. I don't really care for the direction of incrementing, but man it'd be nice to have a grow/shrink ability for loops and rings.
In worst case, you can move back those bad verts to a good position. But there must be some other ways. Like you can try the loops tools. It has a function to straighten or relax edges. There is the make planar button as well, but I'm not sure if you can use that on edges.
Ahh, function I see you set the empty array as a float variable, from what I know of MEL you don't have too ? The script worked, although after I run it a few times it fires an error on line 8 ? Where did you get MPosition ?
