I don't think it is loading anything but actually dumping what was in memory. When I switch files it sometimes gives me a bunch of tiny cut up pictures of the view I had in the last file. The Vaio I bought came with Vista and 2gb of ram. Ran kind of slow at first I blamed Vista, and was right to do so. 2gb for vista is crap. I don't think achievements are a good measurement of game length by any stretch. I never got all of Dark Souls achievements either, and there's a good reason for that: they blow.
