Here is some of WIP project in Unreal Engine 4. I'm working alone on entire of this project. Screenshot for Old street with the protagonist. For cover art. Hey Matheus! I really like this one! Few cents from me: 1. As 7bajwa already said, the balance between the spider webs and the rest is little bit off. I would either remove some of it or work on the rest to add some age ;) 2. I don't like those textures below, there is no diversity in the wall texture and it's too clean. I…
Oh man. Thanks for being helpful. I didn't know you could spray paint meshes around. So useful for leaf and stone/rock textures. Although I admit I don't follow the conforming to a 2.5d plane offset you mentioned. And just to confirm you capture your normals, AO etc right out of zbrush with a screen grab correct? Your…
You really need to push the contrast between the man-made objects and the natural overgrowth. You did it fairly well in the concept, however in 3D the concrete walls are looking like cliffs. At the moment, it looks like a really rigid natural environment. Make that wall look like concrete, not stone! Also you need to ease…
Started with comps. Idea 1: The first idea I had was having zoe hang from a tree and interact with the cheshire cat named timo. This one might be a bit too chaotic. Will have to tidy up the tree if I move on with this. Idea 2: Baron-ish looking caterpillar and zoe sitting on a mushroom. I gave up on the third idea because…
I would like to be able to get a much closer look at the props without zooming my browser. I am not really a fan of the background in the final renders. I do like that you have put some time in the texture, many artist end up making amazing models and bad textures. The texture on the baseball and glove need more…
Thanks for everyone's feedback! Although, I'm unbelievably thankful for having a supportive fiance who is also an artist so it's nice to bounce ideas off one another. My portfolio is pretty weak, even after spending years nose to the grind stone I have so much to learn and grow. portfolio: www.joeburak.com art-blog:…
I have yet to touch the pensieve since the last update as I'm currently blocking in other assets from the scene (may have got a little more than carried away with the Elder Wand as it was varr fun). I'm undecided about the floor. In my mind, I see something not too dissimilar to Scott Homer's 'Destruction Diorama's'. As…
You have a good start! The texture need alot of work though! None of them are working with each other at all. The stone one looks photosourced as does the wood while the tiles clearly arent. If i were you i would go back pick a definate style (hand painted i assume) and gather more reference. The model doesnt look bad at…
You've made the usual gun texturing mistake of just slapping some noisy texture on the whole thing. It looks infinitely closer to stone than gun metal. Take a look at this. There's a tiny bit of noise but it's so micro you should probably just leave it out. Notice also the interesting swirling pattern on the lower part of…
