LODs and UVWmaps
I always wondered how to make LODs withouth influencing the uvwmap.. Each time you delete a polygon and weld the vertices the uvwmap doesnt follow it leaving a open gap in the uvwmap and a seam on the mesh.. Just wondering is there anyway to do this withouth having to manually edit the uvw after your done? -

I've experimented with that in UE4 and it does work. There's some issues like it doesn't work with the foliage tool, and performance on my old rig (i7 2600, 16gb ram, gtx 570) was horrible. not all translucent material types cast shadows - there are a a few different options that all have pros/cons the not drawing thing is a little odd - does the object disappear if an opaque material is applied? unless the asset came from the marketplace or whatever I wouldn't expect this to be a lod issue - the default… -

A senior modeler at massive black told me that booleans are hold overs from the old days before they had better methods of modeling. He Never uses booleans anymore (he used to, when we didn't know better), he uses a guide mesh and snaps verts when he wants to make a hole. -

hm...the texture lacks colors , mainly in the face, i know he might be the old chinese geezer but he should even have more colors ahaha. the texture of his clothing lacks definition, perhaps some more folds near the joint deformation area, more belieavable in my opinion. good luck and keep it up ! -

Man it was freezing this morning, and when the body of the camera cools down, your hands get cold so fast! not cool. Chased the squirrel around for quite some time. These are wild, so coming near them is not as easy as it may look. Went for an old photo color, probably not the best choice.. ah well. Pray for squirrel gods?
