Still looks like FOV problem. You can fix it inside Render menu. Play with Focus settings or just reset values to default should be ok. Hope it will help. BTW marmoset is now available in 1.07, you should take it. (40 USD is nothing)
Closest to envelope is used in the video I think. I actually reset the settings on the transfer maps dialog in the video, and "closest to envelope" is the default afaik. Did you guys check your component editor? Do you have differing vertex normals on flat surfaces?
Hey dude, it's the 'WaxPreview SSS' feature that can be enabled under Render in the zbrush main menu.. You need to have 'Shadows' enabled by default for it to work. It only works with the Basic Materials. Check it out here -- http://docs.pixologic.com/reference-guide/render/preview-wax/
like that pretty much. with the sidebutton under the thumb and the buttons assigned to MMB & RMB. @beefaroni i don't think i have ever used a max version that supported customization of viewport controls so it was always default for me. something they added in recent releases perhaps?
Inexplicably, ambient occlusion shows in the editor now, and I didn't change anything. The option to show it in the viewport is no longer locked. The only thing different now than the day I had this problem is that the package I was using is now inside the UDK directory, loaded by default.
Is there a similar trick to getting this to work with ATI graphics cards!?! I've got the same problem on x64 max 2010 with an ati 3870 in my other machine. When I set the AA in max's configuration and restart max, it defaults back to no AA. It's not a big problem but annoying!
Yeah everything else is default, that list is under the "Maps" rollout, look for that and expand it, should be there (Im using Max 9 if that makes any difference :S) And to get to the third option set just click the button next to the opacity check box / numerical input box.
Well yeah thats like ThE one famous hack :P Good to hear you found out about it! Also make a dummy printer set as default, instead of the network one you might be using. It will make file opening like 5 times faster.
I usually add the model to a layer, and set black as the layer color. White model would just be a material setting. You could also change the default wireframe color via preferences. Also, it looks like nice and clean work there, but the pics are a bit small!
If you find it difficult working at the fov, you can change what the editor displays by changing the value in BaseEngine.ini (C:\UDK\UDK-*version number*\Engine\Config) Just search for fovangle. Default is 90 methinks, but about 45 should match the ref pic.
