Not entirely sure what they mean by "2 1024x1024 texture sets" - that implies that if you're making 3 props, you can spread them across 2 1024x1024s. If you are new to animating or working on a VERY small project, use Biped. Those are the ONLY circumstances I will EVER recommend Biped, because it does those things quite well.
