I've modeled quite a few rocks, even picked them up from outside and brought them to my desk to sculpt them 1:1. Trust me man, the rocks never got offended or accused me of plagiarizing. Well, for environmental art, I would say the "traditional" mediums you'd want to look into are a bit more lofty. I don't know if learning how to oil paint or sculpt in clay will effectively help you, unless of course you want to venture into something more stylized. Hang in there mang...I would tag your Lego Universe pieces with a logo..or at least some context that it was made for LEGO Universe.... Some of the worn edges on the gun come off a smoothing/normal errors..and the material on the grip tape is coming off as wooden...I would take a keen look at some of the brink weapons… -
