Oh man this looks great! Pity I've gone to the dark side and use Maya at work now. You've got a tonne of cool scripts that would be great in Maya to improve the under-developed modelling tools - are you going to continue to focus on Max or is there any chance of Maya ports of some of these ever?
Hey Stokesy96! Did you update to 2.02? This issue should be fixed in that version. If you did update and continue to get this issue, please consider posting it on our Quixel Live Support group on Facebook. Our 3DO engineer Sameer can be tagged in the post so he'll know to take a look at this.
if you intend to do lots of rendering, best course of action would be to offload that to dedicated render machines (instead of buying a pro graphics card). that way, you can continue working on your workstation at full speed, preparing content and doing look-dev to send more jobs to the render slaves.
hey dudes, I continued my work here http://www.polycount.com/forum/showthread.php?t=81109 thanks for the comments Bibendum, I pulled her arms out a bit, and I think the achilles tendons are off because of the perspective and angle of foot like you mentioned. :) thanks again dudes!
alright, i did go crazy on the bumps, hehe. I toned it down quite a bit and still should more i believe. I also fixed some of the proportions, the eyes, neck and added some more neccesary wrinkles. I still don't think it's quite there, but i'll continue to work on it.
Arm: the upper limb of the human body, esp. the part extending from the shoulder to the wrist. I'm wrong. Whatever. Does anyone have anything else to contribute to the thread? Or would you all rather continue the pointlessly insulting one another and responding to well-intentioned posts with off-topic drivel?
Interesting thread. [ QUOTE ] ...But if your conscious self continues on and you happen to meet this Ancient and eternal being, then what? I truly do not know, but better safe than sorry. [/ QUOTE ] Sounds like Pascal's Wager. That article actually includes several logical rebuttals that might be worth a quick read.
if its up to a vote I'd say try to carry on, and if theres stuff left to do when its over go back and tweak bits later. I still think its a cool idea to try and its not too late to continue. I'd definately like to give it a go sometime too.
I'd really recommend you study in a related field (i.e. illustration or fine art or something) and continue to learn game art in your spare time. Having gone through the games art degree route already, if I were able to do it over again, that's what I'd have done ^.
The decisions you need to make in the game are a neat idea, since you only have 5~ seconds to decide. The last decision you had to make was a pretty tough choice too. I'm wondering how they're going to continue the story with that in mind. I have to agree that the environments are really impressive.
