The back is looking much better now. I am no anatomy goblin tho so I'm not really able to crit much. I think the face could use more muscle definition though, it looks a little odd as it is with the body so defined. Small nitpick though and likely won't look the same textured anyway.
Hey all! I thought I'd share what I'm working on at school at the moment. We got an assignment to texture the Goblin MoP shared here: http://www.polycount.com/forum/showthread.php?t=69806 And this is what I have so far: Not done yet, but I'm almost there I think. Hit me with some crits if you want! :)
Cool theme this month! Hope to see a lot of interesting entries :) Here are some interesting item slots-- Naga Siren Tail Meepo Backpack Queen of Pain Wings Death Prophet Dress Sand King Tail OD Wings Alchemist Goblin Body Tidehunter back piece (Tide needs some more item love IMO!)
That's a #1 Orc! Is it meant to be a part of the LOTR universe? The white paint and the base armor forms remind me of the goblin orcs. The only minor crit I'd have is I wish the loose strands of hair on the head were more like small clumps of thinner hairs. The single thick hairs right now look almost like worms to me.
retop doesn't work that way. and while your face is improved it still has a lot of issues. Not really sure what to say that is going to help at this point, and knowing the concept is that of an angry internet guy... I'd say it looks more like some sort of clay fighter goblin thing... eating a license plate Sorry I couldn't…
I like what I see. Pretty good realistic stuff, although I'd be interested to see some more diverse subject matter. Give us some Fantasy swords, or a goblin hovel. Give us a gigantic sci-fi gun, or space station. Up your detail level, and like everybody is saying, do a low-poly and normal map + texture those suckers!
As the others have said before, choose a concept that has god design that is not yours. Something that is simple in terms of silhouette. Practice recreating that. Your design skills are not quite there yet. The goblin looks interesting, just not pleasing. Also, your end goal should be to get these character assets into a…
A quick half hour idle animation for a university project. I just rigged and animated. Our game is aimed to be pretty low poly/cartoony. Still loads to do but got so many animations to do on 4-5 characters that I am rushing abit :/ [ame=" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g_S6mCPjX4c"]Goblin Idle animation - YouTube[/ame]
Great models! I would suggest in optimizing the models a bit more efficiently in terms of topology (They seem to be unnecessarily dense in certain areas). The uv unwraps look a bit sloppy in some spots (specifically on the goblin). The overall sculpt quality is quite nice, but like you've already noted the texture and…
