Just throwing in a bit of general info here, blender exports .objs and meshes in general @ 1/100 of max's default scale... this leads to problems in udk/ce2 and so on since those rebuild the meshes and tend to delete stuff :) @keen: awesome work
bit long winded and prolly what zen tools is doing in hte background but you can convert the edge loop to a curve, rebuild the curve to reduce the amount of control points, than use that curve and the verts you want to effect with the wire deformer
Normals seem to be fine. Im going to try and rebuild the lowpoly and see if anything changes. somewhere in my process im getting negetive values locked in my lowpoly. Im thinking MR doesnt like the way im mirroring my geo
you have bad lightmap UVs or bad lightmaps. Try rebuilding the lighting and if that doesn't fix it check the lightmap UVs. It might help if you have a look at the scene in "Lighting Only w Texel Density" mode to check for poor lightmap UVs.
yeah if im doing just like a hard surface asset, ill just get rid of my turbosmooth modifier, remove the supporting edgeloops, tweak the mesh and your done :) no need to rebuild an entirely new lowpoly (but it depends on what your making)
I'm pretty sure it rebuilds the vert table every time, even with the guruware obj export plug-in that was rolled into 2010. Morphix will reorder the verts from one mesh to match another as long as they are identical. http://www.scriptspot.com/3ds-max/scripts/morphix
So I'm dealing with an old piece of mesh that was collapsed to editable poly with isoline checked in turbosmooth it looks like. Is there a way to easily rebuild the object? Some sort of maxscript that could remove points that do not have intersecting isolines would be perfect I'd think...
Hey, after I installed Marmoset Viewer, the Icon in the taskbar is broken. Anyone has the same issue? Rebuilding the icon cache didn't fix it, when I start the Viewer the icon appears as normal. Nothing serious, program is working. Just wondering what's happening here.
"Part of the reason other governments fear Amercia is precisely the fact we can elect whomever we please, although of course this follows the course of Dem. or Reb." I say this with the utmost respect, frosty, but that is so much bollocks. There are two and only two reasons other governments fear the US and people turn…
Nice work. You mentioned rebuilding the undersuit and that is the only thing I see being weird. Seems like it can't decide if its cold suit or normal flight suit. How do you get the texture on the fur side of the hat but not the leather side?
