Another example of a great small niche software is Marmoset Toolbag 2. Since it has auto reload mesh functionality, I started to use it as real-time viewport on a second monitor. Zero hassle for setting up your viewport + quality is top-notch.
The handle really needs to be rounded off. Also did you model the internals that will show when it gets opened for reloading (IE extractor, locking block, etc)? Also just overall you need to soften the edges big time or they won't bake well.
I haven't had a single crash so far, though the performance is quite bad. I use it with a laptop attached to an external monitor, this seems to be a bit of the problem. I also hate it that my materials are not reloading automatically. It's not that buggy, just rather slow for me.
I got you, thank you very much Eric, it is for a FPS game, its have reload animation can be checked on a 3D viewer, I will try my best to reduce this, I am just scared =/
Begun making the armour. Gonna smooth out the muscles a bit. The Isolate Selected option is quite useful when you need to see exactly what you're modifying, which means less ctrl+z and reloads.
The trigger guard might have a lot, but if he's intending it to be used for a FPS, with a reloading or melee animation really shows off the finger guard, there's no reason to excessively optimize it, FPS guns take up like 10% of the screen.
Tack, Teddy! It's much appreciated. I ask mainly because it does become a slight annoyance to reload patterns that were there before dDo loaded a project. The option to choose pattern replacement or appending would be quite fantastisk. :)
yeah those kill codes were hilarious. I wish the bosses in HR entered the way the originals did..I loved reloading saves and planting mines at places where I knew they would walk through :)
the layout kicks ass! Awesome looking site. Without repeating previous comments, the only thing that bugs me is that when you switch sections, the whole thing reloads and you get half a second of black screen.
That to me reeks of a delta animation. Delta animations are where it only encodes partial information about the movement so you can reload while walking etc. Can I see your QC file as that's hugely important to how your animation is loaded into the model?
