The GTX 970, according to the GeForce website, has two 6-pin PCI-E connectors, some manufacturers provides a 6+8-pin solution, check if your power supply has the correct cables. Is it a good practice to check the actual photos of the product you're going to buy, to avoid this kind of surprises.
I'm having the exact same problems as you, KonginChains. Material ID links do not work, objects do not pick up the assigned material and sometimes i'm not even able to add a smart material (if i have more than 8 or 9 smart materials already added). When is the new update? :(
@Pav3d Yeah I initially wanted it to be a little smaller to exaggerate the upper body a bit more, although when I measure it still comes out at around 8, 1/2 heads. Does this look about right? It's a bit late for me to go back but I appreciate this feedback for future projects.
I've had a hard time trying to motivate myself to do contract work after working 8+ hours a day. If I am going to do 3d in my free time I would rather it was something that I wanted to do for myself, rather than trying to meet what a client wants.
maya 64 seems to have less crashes (especially stuff which ran out of ram with only 32 bit, like combining huge objects or rendering lot's of polygons) got 8 gigs of ram and vista 64, it's nice! The downside is, that old soundcards and some random small devices aren't supported.
http://wiki.beyondunreal.com/Legacy:Unreal_Unit and http://udn.epicgames.com/Three/UnrealUnits.html Under the source engine, by default a wall is thick of 8 unit, I share the same principle in the UDK. I use the same size as under the soruce engine. With the soruce engine you have comon size : a wall = 128*128 unit, etc.
Well tonight is finally the night for new episodes.. After a 6 week break, LOST will be rolling again.. not just ONE.. but TWO new episodes starting at 8 pm EST followed by a second episode at 9.. Not sure about the rest of you.. but I am looking forward to a good night of good TV..
hmm, I have roughly the same specs as you a 3.4ghz Pent 4 with a gig of ram, and I've never had it crash, other than one time when I accidentally tried to load a lightwave object into it. In fact it's rather zippy, I often have up to 8 documents open with no hit.
i've never had the flu, and i stopped getting vaccinations for it about 8 years ago i think. Its really strange because i have a lowsy immune system, i get strep throat 4-6 times a year easily and a few colds thrown in every once in a while
commence leg humping? ;) speaking of cleaning... I really ought to get rid of all these empty frap cups and junk around my desk... haven't had a need to use my desktop seriously at home for about 8 months so junk collects around it... been working on screenplays on the laptop :D
