crazy max!
Alright, I've had this problem for about a few weeks, and it's driving me insane. For whatever reason, my UVW Editor window menu gets all crazy. WIP low-poly beamblade
Hey all first post on polycount, currently working on a low poly beam blade that could be used in a futuristic, sci-fi setting. maybe replacing a traditional police baton with the energy beam. 3DS Max 8 Plan to use normal maps, diffuse maps, and specular maps to create the textures. how to render isolines in max
Anyone know a good way of rendering the isoline type display that is an option under meshsmooth in Max 8? I want some nice renders of meshsmoothed objects with the isoline display overlayed. Only way I can see of getting the isolines out of Max is to screengrabs which isn't really suitable for what I need it for. cheers… -

Media Player Classic is pretty lightweight, right? Not much for zooming and navigation, though it can be done via numpad 1/9, and ctrl+num2/4/6/8. The playlist is slow to go forward and back on... and printscreen apparently deleted the top image in my screenshot, which is too bad; it was a hot asian. -

This is probably because png can use 16 bit per component. 8-bit per component normals are always grainy especially when kept normalized within texture, CryTek wrote about that. TGA cannot handle 16-bit-per-component, only TIFF and PNG can (and DDS of course). -
