The shrooms need work, they look unfinished. Put some details onto them =D You maybe also should go and define a colorsheme/color keys, right now this doesn't look very harmonic. I think that way you could improve the scene very much.
Hey welcome Reiyn! Very cool looking stuff man and its awesome that your putting these props into an engine and making a game with it. Im in the same boat as you are with the normal maps, they're a pain to figure out but this is definately the place to learn to do them right. Keep us posted!
Yeah , I didn't really like the head before, and now I don't like it at all. Look at your concept, it has a great head. It has a beautiful quality to it. The model does not. Try and capture those cheek bones, and regain some of the clearly defined forms. This looks to blobby.
f'ing definately! love 'dem battlefields please dont drool on your keyboards... http://www.gametrailers.com/player.php?id=6352&type=mov http://www.gametrailers.com/player.php?id=5078&type=mov (yeah i know, in reality teamwork wont flow that awesomely but its still great!)
Your letting your occlusion do ALL of your texture work. You need to give it more love. Define the materials you are given, add some wear and tear, desaturations and color variations within the same color sphere. Occlusion gives it the depth, now give it the feel.
Just recently watched it. Interesting movie. I think the "What is truth" statement near the end sums up what the movie is about. Really brings things into a new light if you haven't already thought about such things. Definately recommend you watch it if you have a chance.
thanks proxzee, i tried tweaking the legs a bit, and replaced the feet. i also replaced the hands but there still sucking, anyone know of a good topology for lower poly hands? also here is a wireframe shot.. although the model in its current state is definately not intended for realtime use..
do you intend for this to be low poly, or high poly (subdivided)? it appears as if you started with one method, and got lost in the other doing a series of random extrudes. there are areas of low edge density that need more defined shape, and areas with too many edges that provide no shape at all.
Maybe - Im not sure that is really pinching tbf, could just be where it goes up and around. The other areas however, its not so smooth as it goes over the wheels, i dont know if its the angle or what. There is definately some sort of pinching below the windscreen. thats it really.
Its the placemtne - you have 3 vertical cuts already on the house dividing the side wall into 4 parts. You could have used either of the 2 central polygons for the window, then you'd only have had to make 2 horizontal cuts to define the top and bottom of the window.
