@NoRank You can add other renders if for example your character has cool features that may not show very well on the main render but it has to still include that camera facing render. @Burpee License based entries are not encouraged. Of course you can take inspiration from what exists, but not copy existing works.
compared what I have in zbrush with the renders the renders are quit dark, I do agree. I thought my renders didn't do the hard surface details I had in secondary forms any justice, but I guess you are right, will harden up the edges separately and see what I can do for the normals
@JadeEyePanda Thank you for critique. Her pelvis area and her breasts are need to be fixed 100%. About render, thanks) I rendered in KeyShot. All render settings were default, only 128 samples instead 16) @Legion_studios Haha, I was thinking about this character too) but this Kitty is a little bit more aggressive :)
it's to be taken around to various events to help promote nintendo. trying to get on the team and hopefully get them to take it down to the penny-arcade expo. i'm doing some newer/ touched up renders at the moment. should have something to show tomorrow morning as the renders take a long time to render cause of reflections…
SICK model! And thanks for sharing the rendering tips, I made myself a quick PSD combining your HP render and the tips you gave me. I'm excited to try it out later on! Don't worry, it's got you name on it for when I give it out to my friends when they need a bad ass render. XD
Such surface information transfer is typical of rendering pipelines leveraging subdivision+displacement. This is IMHO precisely why the bake from multires follows the geo of the low : the subdivision at rendering time would take care of the rounding of the base model, and then the displacement is applied for the fine…
Hi! Thanks for the feedback. Yeah the more I look at it the flat emissions starts looking weird! So you're thinking turn the slop into a proper staircase? I can definitely try it out! Appreciate it. As for the renders, these are just screenshots of unity. They aren't necessarily renders yet :) So ill make sure to crop it…
New render. I wanted to render this character out again as I didn't quite do him justice the first time around as I didn't know as much about rendering using ZBrush. His name is General Takori. I pictured him being a general of a powerful star fleet. He is out of uniform here though!
*Post Wires! its impossible to give good advice without seeing them. *What's the model for: Render, or Ingame. *Are you planning on baking a normal map or is this going to be the final model? Rendering this will produce a pretty much identical result. Sure put a normal map on it and it could look cool but as it is the…
The normals in the viewer are being displayed in worldspace, a slightly more accurate description would be to say that what's being rendered are the actual surface normals. During the rendering process, tangent space normals are converted into worldspace, we're just rendering the final output. One of the main benefits to…
