Bartalon; 2014 has this as an option. In fact, it's default. Degrees instead of radians. I'm not sure what other tools it effects, but it effects the bend tool for sure. I'm not sure how to switch it back to Radians, actually. Or even if there is a way. Google is being silent on the matter.
youre a genius, thanks for the advice! off to adding more detail now :P also, would you happen to know how to extend a curve after drawing it? it seems to be locked to the starting draw size by default, i cant drag it out any further
Is that Z4R2? The default behavior for me has the back-facing edges gray and the front-facing ones orange, instead of all orange like that. I don't think it is the result of a custom UI either : / What steps do you take to begin editing the topology?
I downloaded that new service pack and unfortunately didn't change anything. I'm also getting this max script dialog to open by default every time I open Max. I'm just going to download 2014 and be done with it. 2012 has been frustrating.
The best thing you can do is duplicating and inverting the polygons. Sorry, but you are going to have to cut some polygons from somewhere else in the model. Prefab3D most likely has backface culling on by default, which is how most 3d engines work.
Another way, if you change to component mode with the right click marking menu you'll only get the last object you selected. If you use the hotkeys for component modes (default F9-F12) you'll get all the objects you have selected.
xp and 2000 dont like to talk to each other with default settings, there probally is a way to get file sharing to work between them but its not nearly as easy as xp-xp ro 2k-2k(which is just setting up sharing for your drives)
One thing you might be forgetting to do when you use the search function is to set the date range... by default, it only searches for threads newer than a week old. It also has maximum of 1 year, which I think is pretty lame.
It will be difficult to diagnose your problems with no images. Try to render out some still frames, showing this problem, and present them here for people to review. Switching from the Default scanline renderer to mental ray is not a good solution to gamma adjust your rendered video.
Apply a correctly sized image to the object and then in the upper right drop down menu of the UV editor, change it from the default checker pattern to display your material. Or in the UV editor under > options> preferences, you can adjust the display size to be non-square.
