I think more construction detail would help a lot, the pleating on the shirt is a nice start and showing some more stitching and connectedness of different parts would go a long way. I don't understand the metal rings around his shoulders. You have a lot of scratches in the texture that are seemingly all over the surfaces… -

There should be more texture. A tree stump usually has rings on the top and there are lots of protruding bark all around the sides. But more importantly, it needs more bark. Also, what kind of perspective are you using? The bottom of the picture looks oddly flat. Think in terms of volume and apply proper shading to look… -

Nice work on the textures! I would optimize this door more in terms of polycount since this will probably be duplicated multiple times. If it were me, I would separate the wood from the frame and just make them overlap/intersect a little to avoid holes. Like how it goes, when you "stitch" parts, it will need more edges to… -

For someone that has no folio online, no its not a good idea to be a freelancer. You need to be able to show prospective clients you can do what they want by showing them you have already done it. You need to have a good business network or at least a couple of spectacular contacts. Here is a good read…
