Next step is to add shading and detail to the face, hair, and maybe clothes. Then animations. Will ugprade the dogs as well with mouths that open. Huskys. :) Then add animations. Finally, getting cell shader plugin so all elements including background will look like they belong in same scene. [IMG][/img]
Much better, I really like the texture and lighting feel you have going on right now. I agree that some smaller elements will really help scale the whole environment and bring it together. Keep up the good work and I hope to see some updates soon :)
Jobye, you don't need any "bars" single or double. you don't need the "down arrows" you don't need the red highlight on the email button. you just need great art. remove all the extra elements so that it gets out of the way of the great art.
Sort of looks like Sid The Sloth from Ice Age. I like elements of your design but I don't think it's cohesive. I guess if you just want to be done that's fine but you could probably have an interesting character design if you put more time into it.
@Freneticponies Thanks man! There's a couple of elements at the other end of the corridor that are just cubes at the moment. Still trying to figure out what some of the shapes will look like. Started to refine some of the smaller shapes. Also started creating some normal maps and making a better sense of the materials.
Posed the character tonight for portfolio purposes. It's not going to be a main piece on my portfolio as I want to be a character artist, but I do want to show my understanding of game art and all the different elements, so I'm going to put it in my 'miscellaneous work' section on my 'folio.
A decision has been reached.2D animation will be used for the cutscene, maybe 3d elements for the environment .That means it would be easier to pull off free flowing hair and cape movements and believable explosion and spells and no worries about bad skin deformations and uncanny facial emotions. Thanks for the help.
@rodstone thank you :) @MrCreator thank you, I hope i will be able to capture similar mood - I started to write list of my required assets, just a small start and lot of work ahead. It's not so easy as I though to come with all the objects and elements to create it :) -
I also want to add. Using this method can be very buggy at times and it is advised you take a look at the final picture if using this method. Ive noticed that when using this method in one of my scenes it does not render out certain reflections and certain elements in the final shot.
You're making good progress. His crotch component's forward element, for lack of a better word, seems too long. Have you tried just box blocking in your forms instead of getting pieces done one at a time to verify your proportions will work for the final sculpt?
