Hey everyone, been trying to keep up with my portfolio lately, and just recently found myself in the 'looking for employment' category, so its giving me some much needed time to spruce up my site. So while I have another Cryengine scene in WIP, do not fret, I have no forgotten about it. My plan is to try some DDO…
It's looking pretty good Brian! I think you can have the shadow from the upper eyelid to the eyeball a bit stronger so that highlight isn't as strong. Also, did you add white hairs all over his face? If so, they are way too strong right now.
Think it looks great! What software packages did you use? The only real suggestion I would make is add a very subtle particle effect to the area the volume light so you have some inconsistency in the volume of the light and light reflecting off the some of particles a bit.
Man, this environment is ace. For the ground did you use vertex painting? I'm diggin the steam coming from the vents and stuff, but I feel like you should add more dust or something to the air, just to give it more of a feeling of a slum and a dirty area. Just a nitpick though :)
Had a bunch of things all hit the fan at once the past couple weeks, but I'm still in it! Got the low poly built and did a test bake. Gonna go add more details to the arms and legs to make them more visually interesting. Probably replicating the patterning on the head in places.
here, I made some slight adjustments. what I did was add a slight warm screen layer... pulled down to about 15% or so and added lighter values to the stone to make it pop a little more. at this point, it is just fussing with the final 10% of the texture. overall, this is really good :)
that is looking pretty tight. A couple thoughts. Everything looks pretty high res except for the sticker on the barrel. I would also made add some more interesting lighting with some shadows coming over the ground. How did you do the grass? they look pretty damn good
It kind of looks like a toy? But I know you still have more to add to it. cant wait to see the next update its coming along. I see you're over 1Mil polys? how high is your turbo smooth? or did you model in zbrish and import to Max?
Yep. Earthquake has a point. I mean. That concept you did after you kinda finished the asset is something you should have done before, in the hipoly stage. I mean. So, now.. what? You will have a diferent texture for the new stuff you want to add?
