Would it be possible to build a displacement shader in unreal engine that will deform the mesh depending on the damage that is inflicted? like the example before. A bullet hits a aircraft wing from above and the shader will deform the wing. And cause a hole in the wing.
Might be because of the extra space in range, a space after : would mean there isn't any values: spinner _SS "Size" type:#integer range: [1,200,10] Change to spinner _SS "Size" type:#integer range:[1,200,10]
Hi! I wanted to share a bit more of the math to make sure it's clear what's happening. So UE4 uses range of 0-1 for specular which gets multiplied by 0.08, and as previously stated this only gets used for nonmetals. So the default Specular of 0.5 gives you 0.04 aka 4% specular reflection for dielectrics. The reasoning is…
Nop, that's perfectly fine. You could off-set your shells vertically too, in order to keep the uv's more manageable, but there's really no problem at all with offset your uv's outside the 0-1 range. The 0-1 range is simply there to show you the boundaries of the texture itself. However, naturally you can not add unique…
This looks really great.. and i don't want to be picky.. so please see this as constructive critic and you might think about this: From a technical point of view.. : if this fortified tower has from the outside reachable supporting wood structures.. then someone would shoot a burning arrow into this.. and wait.. until it…
@CybranM Thanks! It's still got a way to go but glad it appears to be getting there! Added 4 as yet untextured Skyflash (British AIM-7s, basically) missiles, and a pair of very poorly UV'd fuel pods. I may also add a center fuel pod and inner wing pylons. So, assuming I'm getting rid of the carrier, I now have a checklist!…
To me the concept looks like matted-down dying greyish-brown grass. Kind of like tundra grass or like a Scottish grassland in the winter. With the wood building, it reminds me of Rohan form Lord of the Rings. Anyway, it's a pretty cool model. It could use a little more ageing and color variation if you are trying to match…
I also have a button assigned to backspace/delete :D You're on the right track though - assign to those macro the hard to reach or uncomfortable buttons for a more ergonomic working experience! Also: if you can, consider assigning there some modifier keys, like Ctrl/Shift/alt (I press alt with my right ring finger), so…
Hey everyone, throwing my hat in the ring for this one for the hand-painted boat!I wanted to get a full block-in as quickly as I could, seeing as I'm going on vacation for a few weeks that will eat up most of May. Here's where my boat stands (floats?) so far :) The top room is still symmetrical, which it seems like it…
I broke my dominate hand in a bike crash as well. Broke in two places, with my little and ring finger splinted and bound. We were in crunch when it happened, so not much sympathy or any time off. Couldn't use the tablet for texturing, but was able to use the mouse by lightly resting the hand on the mouse. Just take it…
