The pace at which its all changing is pretty scary, but exciting. I have no idea what the art pipeline will be in 5-10 years or how VR is going to affect it all... there are more exciting jobs out there than game art but most feel stagnant in comparison. I'm happy to be part of it!
Hello, I am located in Michigan. I need a 3D image created and suitable for my Prusa 3d printer. It is a small car part ( see attached) I can mail the part to you or can provide measurements. The drawing would have to address a small broken piece on this part. Kevin
Hello everyone. This is a project Ive been working on for a while. Based off a weapon used in the Van Hellsing movie. Due to a recent layoff I decided to pick it back up and finish it. This is a game model with just one UV set. The project is in its final stages, but I would like to get more eyes on it before I call it…
hello im super new to texturing and everything ive googled doesnt seem to be quite my problem so i thought id make a post here to see if anyone could help me. Any time im baking my normal maps i get weird projections of the other parts of my model across where ive my the seam cuts in my uvs and the like dips and curves of…
It's simple and effective, easy to read for the most part. You might want to tone up the green on the mech, the shapes are hard to read, feels too busy and oversaturated maybe. The mechs also might need some highlights to make them pop more where it matters. Other than that it's going pretty well I'd say.
Hi guys, thanks again :) . Today I finished the modelling part and I made a quick AO render , really useful to figure out problems and improvements to be done. I already see something strange here and there and I also plan to add some geo on the armour (basically hinges), and details on the back of the hands. CU
Nice, the corner pillars/insets look cool but I think some textured parts seem too flat and painted on. The top shadow on that thin rectangular panel that's repeated quite alot looks way too dark, cutting back on ao and adding some good normals/bump map should help emphasise the design more.
So for this update, I applied most of the crits that Endcar has given except for the back arm mainly because as though it would be more of an appealing flow of movement, it wouldn't agree with the motion of the axe swing which is a major part of the comp. Thanks again Endcar!
FINAL Well, It's finally done. I didn't get to include some things that I originally wanted to include, but it's fine. This was a huge learning process for me, this may not be the most amazing thing but, I'm glad that I took part in this contest. Good luck to everyone.
I love everything about this mod in so many ways, EPIC work. I'd like to be a part of this as soon as I finish up my schooling. I'll continue watching this thread and I'm sure you guys will continue to keep these amazing models coming
