Man o mule: I actually had issues with that in Xp and Vista too, where Wacom settings just wouldn't stick in Photoshop untill a reboot. And Wacom Drivers are getting worse and worse with passing time.
Just saw this on end gadget.. Pretty cool "replacement" to a wacom tablet.. Well not really, but it is perfect for projects on the go  http://www.engadget.com/2010/01/12/inklet-trackpad-tablet-app-for-macbook-is-wacoms-worst-nightmar/
Did some more work today. Not as much as I wanted, but my wacom seems to be on the fritz, and painting in small details etc with a mouse is painful. Probably finish up the diffuse tomorrow if the wacom will cooperate and then finish off small detail normals and spec. Kinda ready to move on to something else. :P
It should be noted that this uses a different digitizer tech than Wacom Cintiqs and Tablets. It requires a battery powered stylus. I don't know if that's positive or negative. http://surfaceproartist.com/blog/2015/1/6/ces-2015-wacoms-new-active-es-powers-toshibas-encore-2-write-tablets
Hello, I recommend digitaltutors.com they have a bunch of stuff in VXF and modelling/sculpting I guess that a Wacom will make your work easier and more precise, but I still didn't have the chance to experience a Wacom :) regards :)
I'm not sure, but since all Wacom pens work without batteries and use the same principle, it should be fine as long as both Wacom pens have the same (amount) of buttons (which i believe they all have).
I have a wacom and PS Element6 and GIMP, but my wacom will not work with GIMP. I can somewhat texture, i just have problems with making it look real enough. I'll give it a try. Thank you.
So for whatever reason I can't set the upper button on the wacom pen to middle mouse so that I can zoom in/out in the maya view port. Also, whenever I click on the screen there is a slight millisecond delay when panning, rotating, etc. I'm running Windows 7 and the newest wacom drivers. Any ideas?
How stable is Zbrush R7 for everyone? - I have no problems so far. As for the Wacom problem, open the wacom control panel with Zbrush open and add Zbrush as a specific application then program the pen button functions for Zbrush manually.
Rather forcibly so thanks to my Wacom's pen dying on me. Wacom doesn't screw around on the price for a new one either, do they? Buying one of those new bamboo's is actually cheaper than a new pen.
