thanks man! 100% playable (well, not *playable* as in fun yet, but it's controled by me, in my 10% finished prototype) watch this space! (or, maybe its own thread cos its a bit quiet in here)
Hey, guys! I implemented the Mandelbrot set in MAXScript using cubes (instead of pixels). It has no utility - I just did it for fun. There is a tutorial on my process here: The Mandelbrot Set (MAXScript Fractal)
@.Wiki Looks fun to use, nice FXs I'm developing Animation Sketch on Blender to experiment a simplification in the whole rig-skinning-animation part (à la Mosketch) : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VrNzb4NcSRQ
thanks, that one is kinda for the fun of it as we don't really need that kind of lighting... that said it may have other practical applications (possibly as a texture map) though the code is quite unreliable/picky/difficult to "tune" with differing geometry.
this is a bit whacky, unintended single click bezier creation.... if you have the mod at the top of the stack then create the spline underneath in single click corner fashion.... dunno if it has much application but a bit of fun none the less ;D
Since I can't really do anything worthwhile while waiting for my carpal tunnel syndrom surgery, I'm training in maxscript. Here's my first automated 'high tech hole" script. Maxscript is kinda fun actually :)
I'm working on a backface culling tool... Limited utility so far but still fun to play with. Hope to eventually be able to apply it to a camera path and delete any faces that are never seen along that path (useful for in-game cinematics) Before After
Made a "1 click" clipboard uploader. You just copy an image to your clipboard or hit printscreen then load the program select the area you want and click "Upload", then you are taken to the uploaded image in a web browser. And heres another example just for fun!
This is awesome, could have used it some time ago, would have been so much easier! hopefully i have to do some RTS Levels again, making levels the starcraft editor way is good fun, did that a lot in starcraft 1. :)
I'd like to see it! Can't guarantee I'd do anything with it at the moment, but would be fun to look at and learn from. Your video looks really nice, is a clever solution. I've just baked such objects to plane as a heightmap for the same effect in the past. CrazyButcher... that's awesome. o_O
