Interesting! It should be noted then that 'Canadian bacon' is *not what I was initially talking about. I had heard back bacon was more popular in Canada, but I have no idea about that smoked pork loin
Got a little more time on this. More blockouts, an initial sculpt on one side of the columns to mess with designs, and a bake on my columns that ended up with some errors I'll have to fix tomorrow night.
Pretty satisfied with the initial normal map bakes out of XNormal. Haven't cleaned anything up yet just through them on to get a idea of how it looked. Can't wait to start texture painting.
im making the whle thing (all six) and initially it will be freeze frames, of like eatch one individually, then maybe ill animate them so they start as 6 different ones, and built itself together

Reading some of the posts on CGTalk, it kind of sounds like Avid was the one who initiated the sale, and Autodesk just happened to be the one to buy. Rather than Autodesk acting as the predator to snatch up a competitor.
Looks great overall, but the leaves initial speed is too low compared to the perceived wind speed. Also, the rain gusts or bursts are a bit on or off. Like they're either in your face or non existent. Is the sky just an hdri or is it somehow dynamic?
Hi all! This is my first post on this forum, so not sure if that's the right category and format. But anyway, I am hoping this community is alive as it would be great to have some real feedback and interaction. I am a self taught artist with about a year of "experience". You can find some of my work on my art station, but…
