one more episode x) this time we also have an exclusive interview with aaron foster from Lunar Software, on their game Routine ^^ link: www.thegamedevcast.com ps: tell us what you think about the new site! :)
I had that same problem with a mesh I was working on. A workaround is to use the X Y or Z offsets. At least, that worked for me. It didn't get rid of the seams, it just moved them so they weren't anywhere on my mesh.
Sorry if I'm hijacking/going off topic here. Is the "ConvertToLinearSpace" checkbox on the "File Texture" x^2.2? Or is there some other voodoo magic going on? Like reading the gamma space type from the file texture header or something? :)
I had the same problem once, and I can't remember for the life of me what i did...I think reset x form, as they mentioned, and also collapse it down completely and make sure you export as an obj.
This is a good one. http://boards.polycount.net/showflat.php?Cat=0&Number=8173&an=0&page=0#8173 And if you can't use Wings, I suggest you learn how to flip a burger 180 degrees on it's X axis.
It's linear Stalker tbh. And yeah made by group that've split of STALKER team in 2004 i think (mostly art team), they used x-ray engine and 've been sued for it (GSC accused them of stealing), but won.
The reason why it appears fine when you drag the export file prefab into the scene is because it automatically rotates that prefab 270 degrees on x. You want to export it so that if the rotation of this group is (0,0,0) the tree is facing up.
OMG! that is great and yer does kinda look like brad pit X. how long have you been modeling iv just finished the first year of a 3d modeling course at collage but an no where near that good.
I use it primarily to convert .obj into .x. Works great so far. I put a lot of Maya models into unrealEd this way, for some reason I can't get any unreal exporter to work in maya 8.5.
Not really just programmers but, "Can you check X in for 5 mins?". Because it seems everyone in the world has a skewed opinion of what 5 mins is including myself. My 5 mins is actually about 20 mins.
