Wow. Been ages since an update. We are still very busy with the game though. Anyhoo. Here's some palette tests for the games various areas in Hell. Hope you like em! Hell (default) Cave Slime ver1. Slime ver2.
Just throwing in a bit of general info here, blender exports .objs and meshes in general @ 1/100 of max's default scale... this leads to problems in udk/ce2 and so on since those rebuild the meshes and tend to delete stuff :) @keen: awesome work
I think in Marmoset, you have reflections by default. Because as I know its specular system is based on cubemaps. But this is easy to check out. Use white specular map with white glossiness map. Or use the maximum possible value for specular and glossiness.
We LoL now. Just kidding but really, just stick to default colours. If you really need to change colours, you need to do so subtly. Also agreeing with original symbols/patterns. Different universe, different symbols/beliefs/etc.
Last time I installed a fresh XNormal the default AO settings were just plain wrong, you really have to fiddle around with them to make it work. Also untick the unnecessary options (I think it's called Normalize or something similar ...)
Something must of not loaded properly. I did just get rid of the need to use the shift key to sprint. Now the max speed is the default speed so the shift key is no longer needed. That's the only thing I've changed though since yesterday.
Same. Circles are easier to read than squares and numbers are handy for island orientation. Distortion mapping is handy alright, but after so many years of unwrapping my brain has this feature built in by default so I don't need it in my program. ;)
-whats the resolution of your splat map ? if its 2048 bare in mind the default import settings of your textures in unity are set to 1024 -could mipmapping be the issue ? (try turning it off) -texture compression ? (try turning it off) screenshot would help
As it stands, I think it's too close to her default colors. If you made her hair white into blue and changed the color of her scarf it'd read more as a snow day skin. Looking forward to seeing more updates! Good luck :)
https://www.techadvisor.co.uk/how-to/pc-components/how-set-default-graphics-card-3612668/ This should help! What's probably happening is that you're loading 3DO with your integrated graphics instead of your GPU - 3DO requires a dedicated card to process it correctly.
