Turned the fog orange again, made more variation on mushrooms, added particle flies/glimmer at key mushrooms and added some drool to showthe juicyness of the hero mushroom. As I am moving to another country soon, I think I will wrap this up very soon. Any final comments and adjustments you think I should include before…
1st post here, been lurking for awhile and just wrapped up work on this environment. I might go back later and add/change some things based on feedback I get. Had to wrap this one up before I go to GDC next week. So Crits are more than welcome, tear this one apart so I'l know what to work on for next time. Thanks.
After a while of down time, due to some health reasons, luckily nothing major, I finally wrapped up the project. Added in some more story telling pieces but the rest is the same, so please have a look :) https://www.artstation.com/artwork/6aRdJV Created the breakdowns too for the AS post, so time to wrap this up and start…
Thanks guys! (FourtyNights, So3Datel) . I have decided to use the defaults for now. To follow tutorials properly and I am already getting comfprtable. Will adjust hotkeys , UI navigation later on. I am following a car modelling tutorial. I dont understand the logic behing this "Guide Mesh" workflow. A guide mesh is made,…
The First piece of armour is 95 percent in there. I'd still like to add some torn cloth and etch in the designs that were in the concept. Also, I made new hand wraps that match the wrapping at the shoulder because I thought they should be consistent and I liked the new rougher looking ones better. AND I took the detailing…
Some really rough sketches i did quickly, really liking the idea of a mechanical snake wrapping around a throne, ties in well with the Chinese dragons wrapping around objects. Gunna take the snake sketch and expand on it abit more, play with the main shape of the throne too. Gunna think about how i want the snake too look…
Wraps are really simple to do! just need to problem solve!, This is a great video to watch from Josh Singh, he uses Zbrush in a very simple but effective way in this tutorial, great for beginners. Skip to 28:30 and you can get an idea on how he does wraps. super simple, great results for stylised meshes…
haha yeah there are alot of elbow impaling weapons around hehe. Thanks two listen I think Ill post this as my final image. I like the bandage wrapping stuff its just a pity my computer cant go up any more levels of detail so I cant add scratches and dents on the blades or detail to the arm wrapping etc
Have you tried a combination of skin wrap and morph ? I can't speak to how it would react in real time, But it works fantastic for "huging" one piece of geo to another. Depending on how dense the effected geo is it can be a bit slow. After really recalling the process involved with a skin wrap and morpher, It probably…
Love the sword. The textures have nicely crisp painted style to them. If that's leather wrapping I'd suggest changing the spec for the wrapping to a low saturation blue, as things that have same color diffuse and spec tend to end up with more of a metallic sheen. That is a sweet looking rifle design! I love the carvings,…
