Alchemy.. Simply mixing two different materials, create a realistic one. For example, Mix H2O with Co2 and you'll get bubbly water texture. That's what i think
There is not a Daz3d to TB2 tutorial that I know of. If you can give some more information about exactly what you're having trouble with I may be able to help.
Added a bit more edge loops, looks like it needs more but that'll do for later. Now experimenting with TB2 shaders, its awesome playin around with PBR.

I've had good experiences with rendering 32 bit PNGs, out of Max. IIRC they came into Photoshop (CS2) with perfect transparency, no fringing/background colors. Perhaps this post by kodde from this thread will help a little.
Yeah this varies depending on engine, just use the invert tick map in TB2. "Roughness" generally has smoothest = black while roughest = white "Gloss" generally has smoothest = white while roughest = black
