added a couple new assets. Probably going to redo the lighting. I find it dark, plus theres no proper backlight and fill light. I dont like how the boxes blend-in with the ground.
Absolutely love object space normals for this reason. NO idea why tangent space is ever used for a static prop like this. (besides the ability to blend in detail via CB / nvidia plugin / whatever)
You can also use motion mixer to layer, blend and transition between animations, very helpful, especially given that you can filter various body parts out of the different tracks.
the only way is to keep PSD from Painter as it is and make a macro that flattens all layers on export because there is slight difference in how blending modes work in Painter in PS. it's ok workaround actually
@Snyder: nice observations @Mark Williams: the final piece was multipass renders composited in photoshop. Lots of screen blending was used to get some of the originals flavor. @Texelion: because thick girls are the best. ;)
@BIGTIMEMASTER cheers for the laugh, mate. Fuck me! I've seen it all now. You'd be surprised at the amount of 30yo virgins that allow Thots to bleed them dry......and I don't mean the testicles.....
Very true, the effects of this in BF3 were extremely obvious. Im fine with COD being a twitch shooter, but keep it at a COD4/WaW level. It was a nice blend of being tactical and also fast paced
@Ged I approve this statement!! i totally agree there are artist that will make your eyes bleed from looking at their art in either program, and that statement about one being more professional is bullshit!
The Lone Penguin - Thank you for your comment and advice on the sticky substance. Tonight I just focused on making the dirt feel blended with the rubber and more layered and not as harsh. Removed the sticky substance.
Love it! Now move the front flippers up they blend in too much with the legs. Then lengthen the tail and thicken up the tail fins. The concept had them much thinker and it helped with the visual balance.
