Real interesting style with this. Totally agree with Sectaurs on the first one being more powerful. It's a neat interpretation of 'hand painted'. It's almost sketch like or something. Nice work.
Visual storytelling and powerful silhouette! You're lacking both of these things. Material definition is lacking too. Make the metal read like metal, plastic like plastic, etc.
It's pointless. PS4 doesn't have enough horse power to support VR, to the point where you won't vomit after 30 mins. Of course for high quality visuals.

You could take a look at Substance Designer. It's baker is really powerful and you can do rebakes of many objects in one click, your geometry is updated automatically.
Yeah I'll do that, maybe not as huge quads since in the Cheetah that is like the power thrusters. Maybe if I just shrink the calf downward area and leave the thigh alone.
The big selling point here is un-tethered room scale VR with 6-DOF head and hand tracking, not graphics power. Not bad considering the $400 price point.
