You have a pretty nice site. It's clean, you can find everything really easy and loads very fast on my computer. I do have a few small comments on the site though. First of all make your name at the top a little bit bigger and please use capitals, it looks a bit weird at the moment. In chrome at the bottom your references…
Hello everyone! Just dropping by to say we need an environment concept artists to help your 2 currents environments modeler to work on the first in game city. It will be a medium size arid type city build around a colonial spaceship stuck between 2 mountains. The town is…
cheers man! So when it comes to doing my diffuse i will use some of the noise generators from the noise tab. Sometimes it is worth applying a Histogram Scan to them so you can get rid of the "wishy washy" nature of some of them. I also use a lot of masks from my Normal map. so where i have cracks, i will feed that into the…
Hey, I've seen your latest render and I think if you want to put this in your portfolio there's a couple things you could work a lot more on. The spec needs to be a lot brighter for the metal where the paint has been scratched off. The rust is really randomly placed, I think you could be a lot more careful and subtle how…
Hello again! Since the last post my PC died then rose from the dead, classes started and quite some time has passed but I'm still working on this. (Late)Thanks again for the great feedback @aclund3 . So far I've finished the garden architecture pass and did lightmapping for all the modules I have so far. Did a test…
Intriguing.... @ Winterlord- I've been looking at people's work and portfolio's everywhere and this is where this query has emanated from. I've observed several portfolio's and a lot of work from a variety of forums, I came to the conclusion that there wasn't that much difference between some of the work people who were at…
Good, much easier to watch now. From what I can tell by your latest playblast is that you seem to have animated the legs and head/neck but not as much the rest of the body. There is hardly any up and down movement on the body which makes the horse look a bit weightless. Both the front legs and the back legs' root joints…
I think the lack of shading when facing away from the light shouldn't be handled by artists. If it looks good when directly lit there's no reason to modify the asset. Baking a points light lighting will probably interfere with the dynamic ingame lighting and be confusing. The rendering has to handle both situations…
So my friend's brother won the 360 in a pepsi contest run here in Canada. He got the full package with hard drive and a copy of Kameo, we don't get to buy 360 until the 22nd so this was neat as I was able to try out the system tonight november 17th. Even on a standard tv Kameo looks great. A lot of next gen art going on.…
I'd say the model itself looks pretty good, except that you modeled in the brick creases. While it may only be for school, it's still very inefficient. I think the biggest downfall is with the texturing and lighting, though. It's extremely cartoony and unrealistic in every way. If that's the look you're going for though,…
