Hey there! I am Melina, and I am currently studying at SAE Institute Germany. At the moment, I am working on my bachelor project in the field of creature art. My creature contains elements such as being a survivor of a long term snow and ice storm. More information will follow in the bullet point list. For the…
The manually edited filigree is really well done although utilizing artistic license albeit balancing between context and personal aesthetic, can be a fine line too tread when presenting work, without in my opinion diminishing the effort involved by inclusion of dissimilar elements.
Two of my quick approaches. Right is sinusoidal , left is from imported picture done from Affinity Designer symbols. The shape of threads is kind of not rendering proper squeezing . Perhaps better to just sculpt a base element in Zbrush or something. Hope could be helpful
Thank you @sacboi ! Good point about the edges, I think I'm gonna make all elements that need to be done to see the whole object and then go and revisit all edges. Some of them may be kinda okaaay, but most I don't like at the moment.

Have these objects been imported into the scene? My usual fall back plan in cases like this is to reset x-form and/or create a box (align to your object) > convert box to edit mesh > attach to "problem" mesh > delete box element in sub-object mode.
Alex, do you notice the brown spots on the Fallout 4 pistol? What do you think that specific element is? If you really need some one-on-one help, feel free to email me and we can set up a Google Hangouts time.
