@doses222 This is looking great, man! Absolutely stunning idea and the highpoly. My favorite by far! Now that you've started the diffuse, there's an itty-bitty correction i'd like to offer while you're not too deep into the process. 1. Color treatment. Right now your texture looks a little off. this is mainly due to the…
You should be proud of the work you have done, its a good scene. What you should be more proud of is the next scene or the changes you are about to make to this one to take it to the next level. =) Some very good crits posted so far, it looks like you tried to follow most of them which shows you are open to change, a good…
This looks amazing so far. Kudos. The ceiling has some interesting complexity, but it might be nice to tie the ceiling into the rest of the room more. You could make a hole in the ceiling, letting in shaft of sunlight, maybe rain + splashes and associated floor damage. Or have some things hanging from the rafters, maybe…
hey, @Wilex: lighting is nothing but the standart mid-day udk-preset, just turned the dominant-directional-light a little. I use rather high-res lightmaps to capture the details in the indirect lighting. You´re right, I definitely have to do something about the connection of the fountain to the wall. Right now just sticks…
Hey guys I've been working on a scene for the past few months and have started to properly play about with lighting, tonight I got my lighting exactly how I wanted it and then I hit bake... after the bake finished it seems to have sucked all the light from the scene into the temp door prop, I've spent the last hour trying…
Hi people. I want to improve myself in lighting and I found these cool works by Josef Bsharah on Artstation: https://www.artstation.com/josefbsharah A lot of his works has clean surfaces which are particularly hard to get looking good with lightmass, and they also have nice lighting, so after permission from him, I decided…
sick would have loved to have a clearer anticipation pose before he kicks out with both legs hold the pose for 2-3 frames and then kick out for hopefully a stronger hit right now he kinda just falls down on his butt and the box falls because of whatever :) sick though
Awesome i was thinking of picking that one up. I might have to do the same. Ysalex, Nice I'm sure teriyaki pointed you in the right direction, the only reason i ask is that focusing on area of 2d to start is probably a good idea. Like focusing on line based art is probably the best place to start as it cuts out having to…
Not sure where you are looking for work but Shrike is right on the money. Also the piece at the top I think is your worst piece, so you might want to remove that or give it a serious lighting/layout adjustment. Also, since you are doing this all in UDK it would probably benefit you in your job search to include…
Looks so much better than my first model, well done on that. My crit would be at the corners where each face meets, the wood doesnt match up right, so sections go from a light colour wood, and jump quickly into darker wood, might want to try and fix that. Oh and you should have connected the Uv's together to conserve space.
